报告题目：Anomaly Cancellation and Modularity

摘要：The Green-Schwarz anomaly cancellation mechanism plays a crucial role in string theory, which says that when the gauge group of the theory is SO(32) or E_8/times E_8, the anomalies arising from gauge field and gravitational field can cancel. In the talk, we will show that the Green-Schwarz type formulas and etc. can be derived from modular forms and then obtain generalizations of them.
This represents our recent joint work with Kefeng Liu and Weiping Zhang.
