摘要: It is shown that there is no rank analogue of the famous theorem on finite p-groups of maximal class. The examples are constructed as quotients of torsion-free nilpotent groups, which are subgroups of nilpotent divisible groups corresponding to "truncated" Witt Lie algebras via the Baker―Hausdorff formula.
