内容提要:
The Third Law of Thermodynamics suggests that the absolute temperature keeps positive in most physical processes. In Compressible Navier-Stokes-Fourier system, this law means one should be able to prove that the absolute temperature will have a positive lower bound if it is the case for initial data. I will report some recent progress on this issue, with application to the existence theory for global weak solution in one and multiple dimensions. This talk is mainly based on the joint work with W. Zhang.
