Anderson localization is a phenomenon in quantum physics where the wave function of a particle becomes localized in a disordered medium, leading to a lack of transport of the particle. This was first proposed by physicist Philip Anderson in 1958. In this presentation, we will present the mathematical framework of the model and delve into some of the key mathematical advancements in the field of Anderson localization. Additionally, we will explore open problems in this area of research.
