摘要：This expository talk will introduce the recent construction by J.Oh and R.Thomas of algebraic virtual cycles on moduli spaces of sheaves on Calabi-Yau 4-folds. We will discuss ingredients in their construction, including deformation to the normal cone, square root Euler classes, and cosection localization.
